Job Description
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for providing superior customer service by conducting themselves in a professional and friendly manner in all interactions with guests and coworkers while upholding the company’s cleanliness standards of all guest rooms and common areas located in the hotel. Under direct supervision of the Hotel General Manager.
Guest Service
o Internal Hotel Sales by positively representing and promoting the property
o Offers guests assistance whenever possible.
o Responsible for resolving escalated customer relations issues related to their department
o Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
o Must respond to and follow-up on all guest requests to ensure customers are satisfied with the hotel’s services and accommodations.
o Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security
Department Responsibilities
o Maintain and Exceed Property Cleanliness Ranking
o Work with the GM to ensure adequate staff levels
o Coordinate with the GM on schedules
o Coordinate with the GM on the hiring process of new staff members
o Train, monitor and coach all new room attendants
o Continually monitor and work with room attendant’s performance
o Conduct performance evaluations, coaching and discipline
o Establish and Maintain positive employee moral
o Maintain and Order inventory for the department
o Ensure all safety, health, sanitation and departmental procedures are followed
o Liaison with Maintenance and Front Desk teams to ensure smooth running operations
o All projects assigned by the GM
Daily Responsibilities
o Assigning Daily Tasks of Room Attendants
o Monitor staff performance to ensure highest level of quality
o Room inspects all arrival rooms to ensure highest level of quality
o Completes daily housekeeping report
o Coordinating with the other departments to ensure all guest and rooms requirements are met
o Clean rooms and do laundry as required by occupancy levels
o Assure all rooms are set up to company standards.
o Coordinate with the different departments to ensure customer satisfaction
o Work on short term and long term projects.
This is a full time – 32-40 hours / week permeant position

Prerequisites:
Education:
High School or Equivalent
Diploma or Certification from a Hospitality Program
Experience:
6 months of Housekeeping Experience
2 years of Supervisory or Management Experience
1 year of Customer Service Experience
