Terms of Employment : Permanent Full-Time
Wage : $35.00 per hour
Weekly Hours : 40 hours a week
Job Duties:
• Supervision of farm workers in crop planting, cultivating and harvesting.
• Perform and oversee soil preparation, planting, fertilizing and spraying of insecticides, cultivating methods used, and harvesting of crops and farm produce.
• Train workers to carry out farm duties.
• Coordinate, develop work schedule and assign duties to farm workers and supervision of workers, in operation procedures and production protocol.
• Supervise and oversee all plant/crop growing, cultivating, harvesting and farm operation related work, to ensure quality operation and optimum productions on 35.5 acres of farmland.
• Supervise the use, maintenance and operation of equipment and machinery used in farm operation.
• Ensure all farm safety regulations and procedures are observed and ensure workers are following operation protocol.
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and crop producing and harvesting labourers.
• Maintain quality control and production records.
• Perform general farm duties when needed.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years of farm operation experience with 2 years in farm supervisory capacity.
• Skill in crop and produce planting, cultivating and harvesting in a large-scale plant and crop farming operation.
• Experience in maintaining quality control and production records in crop producing operation.
• Ability to multitask and juggle challenging projects and multiple priorities.
Language of work:
English – Read, write and speak fluently.
