Job Description

We are looking for multiple patient care aides for the Whitecourt, AB region. We provide service to seniors, disabled individuals and respite care through our facility in Whitecourt.

Permanent, Fulltime (30hr/week), To start Immediately

Education
Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate required, additional courses or certifications or post secondary education in related caregiver field would be beneficial

Experience
1 to 6+ months of experience

Work must be completed at the physical location, No option to work remotely.

Tasks
- Accompany patients on outdoor and recreational activities to promote physical well-being, social interaction, and emotional health, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.

- Assist with various patient care tasks to maintain dignity, comfort, and overall quality of life.

- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting with toileting, while respecting patient privacy.

- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any changes to the nursing or medical team.

- Assist with meal preparation and service, including delivering meal trays, feeding patients when necessary, and following any dietary requirements.

- Support patient mobility by safely lifting, turning, positioning, and transferring patients as needed, using appropriate equipment and techniques.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including making beds, tidying rooms, and ensuring necessary supplies are stocked.

- Supervise and assist with exercise and rehabilitation routines, encouraging participation and providing support as directed by healthcare staff.

- Offer compassionate companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and respectful care environment.
