Job Title: Truck Driver

Job Type: Permanent, full-time position.

Work Location: 1275 Kingsway Avenue, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 1S2 and 1389 Lindsey Pl Delta, BC V3M 6J2

Wages: $34.00/hour

Job Starts: As soon as possible

Positions Available: 12

Job duties:

? Knowledge of all safety measures to be taken during truck operation and performing pre-
and post-shift inspections for damage to vehicles, tire wear etc.
? Driving the assigned vehicle and collaborating with the dispatchers to track deliveries
and plan routes.
? Understand and adhering to all port safety and booking requirements as well as other
port protocols.
? Maintain adequate safety records as well as logs of activities and hours.
? Checking container seals using computer software, visual confirmation and secondary
checks, ensuring 100% booking accuracy and verification.
? Complying with all company safety rules, PPE requirements (hi-vis vest, steel toes and
gloves when necessary), guidelines and relevant legislation.
? Safely refueling machines with diesel, if required.
? Opening, closing, securing, and sealing container or trailer doors for safe handling.
? Some manual work required to check quality, condition, and that shipments match
delivery paperwork as well as special handling, transportation, organic or weight
specifications.

Job Description

Job Requirements:

-A valid Class 1 Driver's License or equivalent License in other Jurisdiction.
-No past experience required.
-Basic knowledge of English is required.
-High School Diploma or equivalent is required
-Ability to work independently as well as a part of different cross-functional teams.
