Westlynn Bakery is seeking a Baker for our North Vancouver location.

Permanent, full-time; 40 hours per week; $19 per hour.

Standard 8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 8am and 4:30pm as required. Working on weekend shifts is required.

Job Description

Duties:
• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders;
• Bake mixed dough and batters;
• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods;
• Work with chocolate for special baking needs;
• Create new pastry samples for new product development;
• Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards;
• Operate machinery;
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

Requirements:
• Secondary school completion is required;
• Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers OR completion of a college or other program for bakers OR a minimum 2 years of experience working in a commercial bakery is required;
• English language ability is required;
• Must be willing to work on weekends and early mornings.
