Care of children

Work Days and Salary: Full-time, permanent; 30 to 44 hours per week, $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications. No work required on Statutory Holiday. Term: 2-4 years ideal.

Able to lift 50 lbs. Good English-speaking skills required.

Job Description

Change diapers. Follow parents’ lead with toilet training. Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas. Bathe, dress and feed children. Prepare children for rest periods. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. Organize, activities such as games and outings for children. Supervise and care for children. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Take children to and from school and to appointments. Tend to emotional well-being of children. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Help children with homework. Light housekeeping. Shop for food and household supplies. Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens. Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
