Job Description
The First Nations and Metis Relations Specialist, in conjunction with the Manager, First Nations and Metis Relations assumes a lead role in implementing the Representative Workforce Strategic Action Plan to build a workforce that represents the community we serve, in order to provide quality client-centred experiences to patients, clients, residents and families within the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The position requires liaising, establishing and building partnerships with key community stakeholder groups that are both internal and external to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, with an emphasis upon the Aboriginal communities. The Consultant uses a high level of interpersonal, conflict resolution and problem solving and change management skills.


Experience:
- Experience working with First Nations and Metis communities and organizations
- Three (3) years experience working with cross-cultural environments

Licenses:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training:
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
- Undergraduate degree in Health or Social Sciences
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
