Job Description
Job duties:
1. Address customers’ complaints or concerns
2. Mountain driving expertise
3. Professionalism in customer service
4. Arrange travel related itineraries and make reservations
5. Drive as part of a two person team or convoy
6. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
7. Load and unload goods
8. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
9. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
10. Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
11. Perform preventive maintenance
12. Receive and relay information to central dispatch
13. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
14. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
