Dr. D. K. Mittal Dental Corporation (dba Greenwoods Dental & Surgical Clinics) is seeking a chair-side Dental Assistant to join the team at their Prince Rupert location.

Permanent, full-time; $34.62 per hour; 30-40 hours per week. Extended health and dental benefits are available after a 6 month probation period.

Standard 8 hour shifts; office open 9:00am to 6pm. Mon-Fri. Some weekends may be required.

Job Description

Duties:
- Prepare patients for dental examination and assist the dentist during examinations and dental treatments;
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment;
- Prepare dental instruments, fillings, compounds and various dental material;
- Help the dentist take and develop x-rays;
- Educate patients concerning oral hygiene;
- Perform clerical duties, as required;
- Assist the dentist in taking preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of previous experience as a Dental Assistant;
- Level 1 certification as a Dental Assistant an asset;
- Completion of a college program in dental assistance an asset;
- English language ability is required.
