VDZ+A Consulting Inc. is seeking to hire a Landscape Designer for their Vancouver office.
Permanent, Full-time. 40 hours a week. $68,640/annually. 8 hours a day. Extended Medical, Health and Dental benefits included. RRSP matching offered. Occasional visits to other offices and job sites will be required; mileage is reimbursed.

Job Description
Duties:
• Assist the Landscape Architectural staff in drawings and design;
• Prepare conceptual designs on assigned projects;
• Prepare conceptual designs, and plan and construct landscaped environments including trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures;
• Prepare presentation graphics and drawings as part of the landscape design package for client review, that consist of plans and 3D images/material boards;
• Support the project management team on a wide range of projects including both parks and recreation and development work;
• Manage and oversee materials sourcing and ordering;
• Assist with training and supervising junior designers;
• Report directly to senior staff and assist on a wide range of both public and private projects.

Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience as a landscape designer/architect preferred;
• Must have completed high school with position-related experience OR post-secondary graduates with a diplo- ma/degree in the field of landscape design;
• Ability to read detail, construction, and concept drawings;
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator preferred);
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, LandFX and Rhino;
• Advanced working proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Strong communication skills including both verbal and written communication;
• Confident sense of design and landscape aesthetic;
• Strong understanding of construction processes and construction administration;
• Ability to adapt quickly to a wide range of project types;
• Comfortable in a team environment and ability to develop designs collaboratively;
• Experience working in the Lower Mainland is a strong asset.
