Job Details
Parachute Express Playschool Ltd. is located in North Saanich, BC, and is looking for three (3) Early Childhood Educators (ECE) to join their team.

Permanent, full-time; $27.25 per hour; 30-40 hours per week. Benefits include: Annual bonus is available for based on the performance assessment; eligibility for 2 paid Pro-D days in August each year; 10% discount on childcare programs and; 15 days paid vacation.

Job Description
Duties:

• Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children;
• Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest;
• Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity;
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits;
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor;
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children;
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants;
• Discuss results and students’ progress with them, their parents and school officials.

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Completion of Early Childhood Educator Certificate program which allows practice in BC is required;
• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate in B.C. is required;
• Previous experience in child care is an asset;
• Up-to-date First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate are required;
• Criminal Record Check is required;
• English Language ability is required.
