Located at 234 Robertson Dr. La Ronge, SK. S0J 1L0, NorthSask Special Needs Group Home is seeking to fill two (2) positions of Personal Support Workers. Position will be full time permanent position (30 to 40 hrs week) with a starting wage of $20.00 hr. Vacation entitlement of 15 days per year or paid at 5.77%.

Job Description

Duties include.

- Advocate for the clients' needs and rights.
- Handle client situations with empathy and care.
- Collaborate to maintain respectful and supportive relationships with clients, their families, and team members.
- Implement comprehensive program plans in coordination with the Group Home Manager and Supervisor.
- Apply strategies outlined in Client Programming Plans (CPP) and Support Plans (SP). Contribute to meal preparation, personal care, and health monitoring.
- Assist with medication administration and accompany clients to medical appointments and other activities.


- Some secondary school is usually required; a secondary certificate in Disability Support Worker, Certified Care Assistant, or a similar designation is an asset.
- Experience in supporting individuals with disabilities and providing personal care.
- Strong oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (CPIC) with Vulnerable Sector Clearance.
- Mental health first aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Personal Support Worker Certificate
