Kingyo Food Corp. (dba Tsuchi Café and Kingyo Fisherman’s Market) is seeking a Pastry Chef to join the team.

Permanent, full-time; $34.07 per hour; 30-44 hours per week. Bonus available depending on sales performance.
Standard 6-8.8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 9:00am and 12:00am as required.

Job Description

Duties:
- Prepare ingredients;
- Prepare pastries and other baked goods;
- Create new and exciting dessert and pastry menu items;
- Recruit new staff;
- Provide training to new hires;
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness;
- Supervise pastry assistants and other kitchen staff;
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience in commercial pastry production is required;
- Diploma from a College or a Technical School in a Culinary field is required;
- Previous experience in Japanese pastry is an asset;
- English language ability is required;
- Japanese language ability is an asset.
