Job Details
A family of 3 is looking for an experienced and reliable in-home caregiver (NOC 44100) to assist with the day-to-day care of their 2-year-old boy at their home in Toronto, Ontario. Additionally, the family is expecting a baby soon and would love someone prepared to help with the transition and provide support for both children.
Job Description
Role: Child caregiver – private home (NOC 44100)

Business Location: Toronto, Ontario; Avenue Road and Roselawn Ave

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Employment Type: Full Time, 2-year contract

Languages: Communication skills in English

Work Location Information: Employer’s home; Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment.

Compensation and Benefits
· Base Salary of CAD 19.00 per hour with 40 hours a week minimum (9:00 am to 5:00 pm);
· Optional weekend work for overtime pay, as needed.
· Statutory benefits are included;
· Private health insurance is available until an employee is eligible for provincial healthcare;
· Travel expenses/relocation costs covered by the employer.

Job Responsibilities
· Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents;
· Supervising and caring for children at home;
· Assisting with dressing, bathing, and feeding children
· Planning, preparing, and serving meals for children;
· Performing light housekeeping duties;
· Overseeing children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods;
· Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home;
· Instructing children in personal hygiene;
· Tending to the emotional well-being of children and supporting their social development;
· Disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents;
· Providing age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings;
· Sterilize bottles, prepare formula, and change diapers;
· Taking children to and from school/activities and to appointments.

Experience and Skills Required:
• Childcare experience: 1 year;
• Weigh Handling: up to 50 lbs;
• Language: English
• Education: Completion of secondary school;
• Willing to travel;
• Attention to detail;
• Efficient interpersonal skills;
• Excellent oral communication;
• Organized;
• Reliability.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
