YM Inc. is seeking a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) Retail Store Supervisor to work at the following Urban Planet location: Willowbrook Shopping Centre, Unit 411-19705 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC

Compensation:
• Base salary of $25.00 per hour.
• Sales or control bonuses, which also include minimum statutory vacation pay and holiday pay entitlements, and others subject to review.
• Extended benefits.
• Two weeks of vacation per year, 5 days of sick leave per year.

Job Description

Primary duties:
• Supervise and oversee the duties of retail staff, including cashiers and sales team members;
• Assign sales staff duties, distribute staff schedules and organize and lead staff meetings;
• Train new sales staff;
• Ensure all inventory is correctly entered and presented;
• Ensure that sales targets are met through active promotions and sales tactics;
• Analyze and evaluate client needs in order to provide guidance on technical products;
• Ensure cleanliness of the store and health and safety measures are being followed;
• Maintain and build professional relationships with clients;
• Assist with design and implementation of product promotional campaigns and training modules.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in the retail industry, including at least 1 year of experience as a supervisor, coordinator, or manager in the retail industry;
• Be able to work under minimal supervision and have a history of meeting superior sales targets;
• English language ability (reading, writing, and speaking) required.
