Salary starting at $27.50 an hour

Job Description
We are looking to hire an Experienced senior carpenter with a minimum 10 years experience.
The applicant must have a very strong knowledge of complex joinery methods, such as dovetails, finger joints, and forms for irregular shapes and angles. Applicant must also be able to create prototypical solutions for client provided concepts. Must be able to build from drawings and use accumulated experience to provide solutions when necessary.
Our small bespoke company with limited yet highly skilled staff, requires that a qualified candidate for this position must also possess specialized knowledge of certain machinery in our facility necessary to our build process. A strong working knowledge of the following machines is required.
Intimate knowledge of Lamello joinery and wood connection machine and system components.
SCM SC3 Sliding Table Saw: Utilize unique capabilities that allow for complex geometric shapes and components to be created. Familiar with SCM Thundercut software.

Holz-Her 1329 Edgebander with all functions Servo Controlled
Duties: In addition to utilizing machines above, duties also include hand laying wood veneers, and laminates, creating forms, jigs, and templates for large assembly millwork. Setting up routers and other handheld tools required to install specialty hardware. (Tectus hinges, Hawa sliding pocket door systems, Accuride slide systems.)
Education requirements: College degree or CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
Excellent communication skills required. Able to direct junior members of the team.
Fluent English is required to safely communicate with all shop employees.
