Color's International Studios Ltd. is hiring two permanent full-time hairstylists at Antique Hair Studio. We are specialized for Japanese hairstyling.

Education, Skills and Experiences:
- Completion of secondary school
- Several years of experience as a hairstylist is required
- Completion of a two- or three-year hairstyling apprenticeship program or completion of a college or other program in hairstyling combined with on-the-job training is STRONG ASSET.

Language:
English communication skills

Compensation:
$18.00 - $20.00 / hour (based on experience, qualification), Gratuities, 4% vacation pay

Work Location: Antique Hair Studio, 1884 West 57th Ave. Vancouver, BC V6P 1T7

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Suggest hairstyle compatible with client's physical features or determine style from client's instructions and preferences
- Create hairstyle for customers by cutting, trimming, curling, perming and dyeing;
- Make recommendation of hairstyles;
- Scissor cutting, razor cutting, long hair trimming and short hair cutting;
- Shampoo customers’ hair;
- Blow drying, braiding, iron waving/curling, permanents, extensions, twisting and pin curling;
- Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide care treatments;
- Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
- Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
- Various regular salon works such as including but not limited to an answering phone, booking an appointment, greeting customers, cleaning floor
- Maintain supplies if and when necessary
