Bean Baking Company Ltd. in North Vancouver, BC is looking for an energetic and skilled individual for the position of Baker for our bakery at 120 Philip Ave, North Vancouver, BC V7P 2V6. The position offered is full-time with 8 hours a day/40 hours a week.

As a Baker, you will be performing all duties described below:

• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods
• Prepare batter for muffins, cookies, cake icing and frosting according to the recipes or special customer orders
• Ensure that the quality of products meets/exceeds established standards.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas regularly
• Operate and monitor machinery
• Needs to make sure of proper food handling and cooking procedures
• Ensure proper Merchandising of the baked good
• May train other baking personnel and kitchen staff
• Take care of sanitation procedures to ensure kitchen cleanliness is maintained at all times
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times

Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience as a Baker required
• Availability to work a variety of hours, which may include weekends, evenings, early morning shifts and holidays
• Completion of High School required
• Language requirement: English
• Ability to supervise 1-2 people
• Handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs)

What we offer:

• $23.00/hr
• 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period
• Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time position
