THE POSITION

As a valued member of the leadership team, VCMT’s Lead Instructor/Internship Manager and is responsible for the successful delivery of many aspects of VCMT’s program and clinical internship.

ABOUT YOU

You are a Registered Massage Therapist ready for a mix of operational and administrative duties while still engaging in practice related work. You care about people, enjoy working as part of a team, love to be busy, and have an eye for detail. As a member in good standing with CMTBC, you have a minimum of 2,500 hours of RMT clinical experience.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach RMT students through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, case studies and internship.
Serve on a number of faculty committees including curriculum revision, course requirements, internship programming and scheduling.
Assist with the preparation of accreditation and regulatory materials for VCMT’s regulators, CMTCA, PTIB, and CMTBC.
Prepare, administer, and mark tests and papers to evaluate students' progress.
Create and prepare course curricula, assessments, and marking rubrics for courses.
Recruit and onboard instructors and teaching assistants.
Manage and provide coaching for instructors and teaching assistants.
Offer student support and enforce disciplinary action on behalf of VCMT.
Assist with the development of program policies.
Assist with student scheduling.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC), or ability to become registered before beginning work.
Minimum 2.5 years of practice as a registered massage therapist in a regulated province.
College instructional experience is preferred.
