Zest Restaurant Ltd. is looking for a permanent full-time cook at Yuwa Japanese Cuisine.

Education, skills and experience required:
• Completion of Secondary School
• Several years of work experience of food preparation in commercial environment
• Maintain exceptional hygiene and presentation

Language: Communication skills in English

Compensation:
$17.75 - $20.00/hour (based on experience, qualifications), 4% paid vacation, Tips/Gratuities, Staff meals

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook Japanese meals including sushi
• Responsible for scheduling kitchen helpers
• Instruct kitchen helpers
• Ensure food service and quality control
• Manage kitchen operations
• Perform regular inventory counts and report shortages to director or manager
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area
