Donmar Foods is into the manufacture of quality dry powdered blends for use in Commercial and Institutional Kitchens. They also offer a variety of Spices and Spice Blends.
Role
The Production Worker is responsible for operating several different pieces of equipment on our production line. Performing a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing dry powder food products.
Responsibilities
• Safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Follow all company Health & Safety policies and SOPs.
• Wear all PPE required and work in a safe manner.
• Participate in all company mandated training in good faith.
• Come to work prepared (both mentally and materially) to work in a variety of environments.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Complete appropriate forms legibly and clearly.
• Complete prestart equipment checks.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Lift and inspect raw materials for damage or contamination.
• Move finished goods off the filling line onto pallets.
• Work cooperatively with a team to achieve production targets.
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Abide to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards.
• Report all Health & Safety issues immediately.
• Maintain good housekeeping in all assigned areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Forklift License, preferred.
• Standard First Aid Certification/CPR Required (non-negotiable)
• Food Handler Certification Required (non-negotiable)
• Knowledge of OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards (non-negotiable)
• Basic Math Skills
Work conditions and physical capabilities
• Be able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
• Manual dexterity, hand eye coordination, repetitive tasks.
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Attention to detail.
• Basic trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral.
