Job Description
Job Duties and Requirements:
• Prepare a variety of Continental dishes such as pasta, salads, soups, sandwiches, grilled meats, pizza and seafood.
• Collaborate with the head chef to develop and update the menu with Continental offerings.
• Source fresh and high-quality ingredients including pasta, vegetables, meats, and seafood required for Continental dishes.
• Utilize various cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, baking, and boiling to prepare Continental dishes.
• Pay attention to food presentation and plating techniques to enhance the visual appeal of dishes.
• Organize and maintain cleanliness in the Continental section of the kitchen.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by consistently delivering well-prepared and flavorful Continental dishes.
• Stay updated on culinary trends and innovations in Continental cuisine to enhance menu offerings.
• Experiment with recipes garnishing and presentation of food
• Coordinating kitchen staff and assisting them as required.
• Taking stock of ingredients and equipment and placing orders to replenish stock.
• Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends.
• Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
