Situated in Vancouver's historic Japantown, our cozy 45-seat dining room offers a gathering place for the city's Japanese community, many of whom attend Canada's oldest Japanese language school just blocks away. We chose the name "Dosanko" because it refers to a breed of horse that foraged the Hokkaido terrain when the Japanese settled on the island in the late 19th century.
We are currently looking for a full-time and permanent cook.
Education, skills and experience required:
- Completion of secondary school
- Several years' experience of food preparation in commercial environment
Language: Communication skills in English
Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00/hour (depends on experience and/or qualifications), plus tips/gratuities and staff meals, 4% vacation pay

Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Timely prepare quality food items according to guest orders while following recipe, portion, and presentation standards set forth by Dosanko Restaurant
- Operate, maintain, and properly clean the kitchen and all kitchen equipment
- Supervise kitchen helpers
- Ensure food service and quality control
- Perform regular inventory counts and report shortages to supervisor or manager
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area
