Canada Japan Consulting Services Ltd o/a Canada Ryugaku Compass is currently looking for a permanent, full-time Administrative Assistant.

Education, skills and experience required:
• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of a one- or two-year college or other program for administrative assistants or secretaries; OR Previous clerical experience is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office

Language: Oral and written English skills required; Ability of communicating in Japanese (business level) is preferred/strong asset as we are mainly dealing with Japanese speaking clients.

Compensation and Benefits: $25.00/hour, 10 days vacation, Extended medical & dental (Blue Cross) after 6 months continuous full-time employment

Work Location: Unit 460, 1140 West Pender Street, Vancouver BC V6E 4G1

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare, key in, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, brochures, publications, reports and related material from machine dictation and handwritten copy
• Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations
• Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of employer
• Order office supplies and maintain inventory
• Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages
• Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
• Determine and establish and manage office procedures
• Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to employer or appropriate person
• Record and prepare minutes of meetings
