Care of children

Work Days and Salary: Full-time, permanent; 30 to 44 hours per week, $19.00 per hour depending on qualifications. No work required on Statutory Holiday. Term: 2-4 years ideal.

1 to less than 7 months of experience as a nanny. Able to lift 50 lbs. Good English-speaking skills required.

Security and Safety: Criminal record check.

Job Description

Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infant. Bathe, dress and feed children. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. Organize, activities such as games and outings for children. Supervise and care for children. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Tend to emotional well-being of children. Light housekeeping. Prepare children for rest periods. Take children to and from school and to appointments. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Shop for food and household supplies. Help children with homework. Travel with family on trips and assist with children supervision and housekeeping duties. Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
