Mumbai Masala Grill is a fine Indian cuisine located at the heart of Ottawa. We are committed to bringing in the best Indian spices into our extravagant recipes with fresh farm vegetables and meat. Our chef brings in a decade of blended cooking experience and is excited to be a part of Mumbai Masala Grill. We also take catering orders and online orders.

Our restaurant is looking for three Cooks to join our team to serve our growing roster of clients.

Job Description
Job Duties:
• Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes, following authentic recipes and techniques.
• Ensure high-quality standards and consistency in the taste, presentation, and portioning of Indian cuisine.
• Select and source fresh ingredients, spices, and herbs to maintain the authenticity and flavor of Indian dishes.
• Maintain knowledge of different regional Indian cuisines and stay updated with emerging trends and flavors in the Indian culinary scene.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance as needed.
• Continuously assess and improve kitchen operations, seeking opportunities for process optimization and efficiency.
• Inspect and ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
• Operate kitchen equipment and utensils effectively and safely.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils regularly.
• Assist in training and mentoring new kitchen staff members.
