Kamei Royale Japanese Restaurant Ltd. is looking for a permanent full-time Chef at Kamei Royale Japanese Restaurant, a full-service Japanese restaurant.

Education, skills and experience required:
- Some high school education is required
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a cook is required
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine is required
- Cook license or equivalent training/experience is an asset

Language:
- Communication skills in English

Compensation: $ 27.50/hour, 35hrs/week

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Japanese meals and specialty foods including pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes
- Plan and create new menus and recipes
- Estimate food requirements and costs
- Request food and kitchen supplies
- Ensure food meets quality standards
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
- Supervise and train kitchen staff (cooks and kitchen helpers)
