Paulco Landscaping (business address: 13 Limestone Valley Road, Deadman’s Flat, AB, T1W 2W4) is seeking a Ground Maintenance Worker. It’s a full-time, year-round position with a minimum of 30 hours per week during the off-season and 44 hours per week during the high season. We offer $20.00/hour to start, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Two weeks of paid vacation each year.

Job Description

Job duties:
Assist with landscape construction,
Mowing lawns using various types of lawn mowers.
Cut grass, weed, prune and trim trees and plants.
Performs and assists higher-graded employees in maintenance and repairs to items constructed of wood, concrete, timber, stone, and other miscellaneous materials using basic hand and power tools.
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations or compact and level earth to grade specifications.
Operating and maintaining various landscaping equipment, such as tractors, mowers, and leaf blowers.
Working with a team to efficiently complete larger projects.
Following instructions from supervisors or landscape architects.
Snow removal during winter months.
Applying salt or sand to prevent ice formation.
Tool inspection and tool repairs during the winter months.

Requirements:
Languages: English
Education: No education is required
Experience: No experience is required, but it’s an asset
Security and safety: Criminal Record Check and Drug test
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Comfortable working in any weather conditions, Handling heavy loads, physically demanding - Must be able to lift 50 lbs weight, manual dexterity, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Wet/damp, Dusty, Hot, Noisy
