PARWOOD DOOR PRODUCTS Ltd. (business address 7550 Conrad St, Burnaby, BC V5A 2H7) seeks a Machining Tool Operator (NOC 94106).

Working conditions:

Wage: $24.00/h with 40 hours per week
Working location: 7550 Conrad St, Burnaby, BC V5A 2H7
Workdays/Hours: Monday to Friday rotation shifts: first week morning shift (6 am to 2 pm), second week afternoon shift (2 pm to 10 pm), and third week night shift (10 pm to 6 am)
40 hours/week with overtime per the Employment Standards Act of British Columbia;
Paid vacation – 2 weeks/year.
Benefits: Extended dental, vision and health insurance under Parwood’s group member plan – 100% paid by Parwood, after successful completion of 3 months probation period.

Job Description
Duties:

• Read blueprints and set up machines with proper tooling.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workpieces onto the machine.
• Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed, and cutting depth.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines to ensure proper machining.
• Make adjustments to the machine as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products using measuring instruments.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Record production data and complete necessary paperwork.
• Report progress or issues to supervisors and collaborate with team members.
• Suggest and implement process improvements.
• Record production data, including quantities produced, hours worked, and materials used.

Requirements:

• Completion of a machining training program or several weeks of on-the-job training.
• Seven months of experience as a Machining Tool Operator.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs weight.
• Must be able to work the morning/afternoon/night shifts.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
