Job Description

Children’s Centre is a locally based and ever-expanding full-service childcare center serving people in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
At the Children’s Center we are looking for a full-time administrative assistant to help with daily office management. The successful candidate will be dependable, cooperative as a part of the team and will display a high level of care for the center. He or she will be responsible for assisting the management office by performing the following duties and responsibilities.

The Front Desk Administrative Staff reports to the Location Director and Management.

• Duties and Responsibilities:

Greeting children and families when they enter the facility.

Check children into the appropriate program and ensure they notify the primary
staff member of that child’s arrival.

Welcome new families, answer questions about the program and provide information
about the registration process.

Maintaing a neat and organized front desk area.

Provide communication to the team and share responsibilities with others
in all aspects of the program.

Social and multicultural sensitivity.

Answer phone calls and relay important information when required to primary staff
members or the director.

Fees, Banking and Payroll.

Communicating with Public Schools, Catholic Schools, and Others educational institutions we may be related to.



• Experience and Additional Competencies

Strong attention to detail.

Previous experience in providing costumer service.

Must be proficient in simple computer program.

Ability to learn program information and systems for attendance and drop-ins.

Excellent interpersonal skills, public relation, and communication.
